Description:

Severity: 3-Major ... Symptoms ... Temporary TMSH-related subdirectories and files located in /var/system/tmp/tmsh may not be properly cleaned up after a TMSH session is terminated. ... These files can accumulate and eventually cause disk-space issues. ... Impact ... The /var filesystem may fill up, causing any of a variety of problems as file-I/O operations fail for various software subsystems. ... Conditions ... A TMSH session is terminated abruptly rather than ended gracefully. ... Workaround ... The BIG-IP software includes a shell script (/usr/local/bin/clean_tmsh_tmp_dirs) which can be run by the system administrator to clean up excess temporary files in the directories /var/tmp/tmsh and /var/system/tmp/tmsh. ...
