On an HPE ProLiant Gen8-series and HPE ProLiant Gen9-series server configured with any Fibre Channel controller and the HPE Agentless Management Service earlier than version 2.6.2, if any part of the Fibre channel port is physically not connected, the Integrated Lights-Out 4 (iLO 4) firmware version 2.50 (or later) System Information page will report the unconnected port as "Not Connected" and the Controller status as critical "Degraded." Instead, the unconnected port should display as "unknown" in the iLO 4 System Information Page. For example, when an Ethernet port is physically not connected, the System Information page will report the unconnected port "Unknown" and the Controller status as "OK." This has only been observed after upgrading the iLO 4 firmware to Version 2.50 when a Fibre Channel port is not connected. The critical status reported by iLO 4 for an unconnected Fibre Channel port does not affect the operation or functionality of the server.

Scope
