This is cleared within one or two minutes, as shown by the example alerts below, and the drive continues to operate normally: The temperature listed for the SSD during this brief period is incorrectly reported at "135C " , which can be displayed using the CLI command showpd -e :

Scope

This issue applies to the following Solid State Drive (SSD) models installed in an HPE 3PAR StoreServ Storage system: AREX0400S5xnNTRI AREX0480S5xnNTRI AREX0920S5xnFTRI AREX0920S5xnNTRI AREX1920S5xnNTRI AREX1920S5xnFTRI AREX3840S5xnFTRI AREX3840S5xnNTRI

Resolution

The critical temperature alert described in the Description section of this advisory can be safely ignored if it is for an AREX SSD model installed in an HPE 3PAR StoreServ Storage system, and the alert is cleared within one or two minutes. The temperature of the SSD can be monitored with the CLI command showpd -e .
