Document ID: a00046068en_us Version: 3 (Revision) End of Availability and End of Service Life Notification Extension for VMware vSphere Enterprise Release Date: 2018-04-27 Last Updated: 2019-11-22 DETAILS OF CHANGE As previously communicated, VMware had announced the end of availability of the VMware vSphere Enterprise edition and as a result, HPE stopped selling this product as of June 17, 2016. At that time, VMware communicated to HPE that no new versions of VMware vSphere Enterprise edition were planned and therefore would no longer be supported beyond October 31, 2021. VMware has now confirmed that customers who are active on Support and Subscription Services will continue to be entitled for minor or major future releases of the vSphere Enterprise edition per the terms of their SnS agreement. As a result, HPE customers may continue to renew SnS with HPE to be entitled for support and future releases, if they are made available by VMware. Customers may also upgrade from vSphere Enterprise to vSphere Enterprise Plus. For more details about the affected product numbers and the upgrade product numbers, refer to the table below.
