When initiating a ClearLink Diagnostic port (D_port) test from OneCommand Manager (OCM) on an HPE SN1200E or SN1600E HBA, the switch port successfully goes into D_port mode, but when switching the adapter back to normal operation, the switch port may remain in D_port mode. When this happens, normal I/O cannot be sent across the link until the switch ports D_port functionality is disabled.
The following products are affected by this issue: HPE StoreFabric B-series switches running Fabric OS (FOS)versions prior to 8.1.2a HPE StoreFabric SN1600E adapter (any port count) HPE StoreFabric SN1200E adapter (any port count)
Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommends upgrading to FOS 8.1.2a or later. There is no FOS issue associated with this advisory, but testing with Dynamic D_Port on FOS 8.1.2a has not replicated the issue. If Dynamic D_Port is disabled, and the port was enabled as a D_Port statically, the D_Port functionality must be manually disabled to resume normal operation on the port. Workaround Manually disable the D_port functional on the switch port using the CLI command, portcfgdport -- disable <port> NOTE: Products sold prior to the November 1, 2015 separation of Hewlett-Packard Company into Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company and HP Inc. may have older product names and model numbers that differ from current models.
