Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) Repository update for components updateable by the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) do not install, if the "Reboot" Parameter in Smart Update Manager (SUM) is set to "Never."
Any HPE system with the iLO Repository updates for components updateable by UEFI for VMware ESXi 6.0 U3 or VMware ESXi 6.5 and the SUM "Reboot" parameter set to "Never."
A manual reboot is required to install UEFI updateable firmware. Reboot the system, when the iLO Repository contains UEFI updateable components and the SUM "Reboot" parameter is set to "Never." OR Set Reboot Options to "If Needed" while performing a Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) update for VMware ESXi 6.0 U3 or VMware ESXi 6.5 on HPE Gen10 systems. NOTE: Products sold prior to the November 1, 2015 separation of Hewlett-Packard Company into Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company and HP Inc. may have older product names and model numbers that differ from current models.
