On an HPE Cloudline CL3100 Gen10 or HPE Cloudline CL4100 Gen10 server, during the installation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.3 or CentOS 7.3, when the graphics mode is selected, the installation instead will start with the text mode. The installation will complete as follows: This is not HPE-specific.
Scope
Any HPE Cloudline CL3100 Gen10 or HPE Cloudline CL4100 Gen10 server with BMC firmware version 1.09.0.0 attempting an installation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.3 or CentOS 7.3 in graphics mode.
Resolution
As a workaround, switch to the graphical user interface after the installation by typing the following command: init 5 RECEIVE PROACTIVE UPDATES : Receive support alerts (such as Customer Advisories), as well as updates on drivers, software, firmware, and customer replaceable components, proactively via e-mail through HPE Subscriber's Choice.
