The HPE OneView Datacenter layout functionality only allows correct positioning when the rack widths are multiples of 600 millimeter (mm) (1 floor tile). The following are examples of OneView Datacenter layout: If the rack width is 700 mm, it is possible to overlap the racks without an error. For instance, position the first rack position 0 meters and the second rack at X position 0.6 m that overlaps by 100 mm. If a rack is a width of 800 mm, it is NOT possible to place these next to each other. For instance, position the first rack at X position 0 m and the second rack at X position 0.8 m. This positioning will cause an error message: Racks cannot overlap each other. Entered Rack X Position is overlapping with existing Rack . The closest position possible for the racks is 100 mm apart, for example, an X position of 0.9 m each.

Resolution
As a workaround, use this functionality for racks of widths of multiples of 600mm.
