On any HPE server with Trusted Platform Module enabled, running Microsoft Windows Server 2012, Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2, Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or Microsoft Windows Server 2019, and configured with any of the HPE Mellanox-based network adapters listed in the scope section below; the Mellanox firmware smart components fail to downgrade the network adapter firmware. The following example shows the error when attempting to downgrade the firmware of an HPE Mellanox-based network adapter using Smart Update Manager (SUM) remote online mode:

Resolution
