Document Version Release Date Details 2 March 12, 2024 The Resolution was updated with the components that resolve this issue. 1 April 1, 2020 Original Document Release. On any HPE server configured with any of the HPE network adapters with combo image v7.18.26 (or later) listed in the Scope section below, the firmware version of the network adapters is displayed incorrectly as "Unknown" or blank in the BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU). This issue can occur when either of the following actions are performed: Checking Firmware version (System Utilities -> System Information -> Firmware version). OR Configuring the network adapters (System Utilities->One-Time and System Utilities -> System Configuration -> PCIe Device Configuration).
Scope
Any HPE server configured with any of the following network adapters with combo image v7.18.26 (or later): HPE Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 530SFP+ Adapter HPE Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 530T Adapter HPE FlexFabric 10Gb 2-port 533FLR-T Adapter HPE FlexFabric 10Gb 2-port 534FLR-SFP+ Adapter HPE FlexFabric 10Gb 4-port 536FLR-T Adapter HPE StoreFabric CN1100R 10GBASE-T Dual Port Converged Network Adapter HPE StoreFabric CN1100R Dual Port Converged Network Adapter
Resolution
Performance and functionality of the network adapters are not affected by this issue. To resolve this issue, download and install the following firmware components: Linux: HPE QLogic NX2 Online Firmware Upgrade Utility for Linux x86_64 version 2.27.8 (or later) Windows: HPE QLogic NX2 Online Firmware Upgrade Utility for Windows Server x64 Editions version 5.2.3.0 (or later) VMware: HPE QLogic NX2 Online Firmware Upgrade Utility for VMware version 1.27.11 (or later) RECEIVE PROACTIVE UPDATES : Receive support alerts (such as Customer Advisories), as well as updates on drivers, software, firmware, and customer replaceable components, proactively in your e-mail through HPE Support Alerts.
