On any HPE ProLiant DL360 or ProLiant DL380 Gen10 server configured with any of the network adapters mentioned in the Scope section below and configured as a primary adapter in Legacy Boot Mode, the system may not be able boot into the PXE environment because the PXE option is not displayed in the BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) menu.
HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen10 Networking Choice (NC), or HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Networking Choice (NC) model servers configured with any of the following HPE Network Adapters as a primary adapter: HPE Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 535T Adapter (813661-B21) HPE Ethernet 10/25Gb 2-port 631SFP28 Adapter (817718-B21) HPE Ethernet 10/25Gb 2-port 661SFP28 Adapter (870825-B21) HPE Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 524SFP+ Adapter (P08446-B21) HPE Ethernet 100/50/40Gb 1-port 842QSFP28 SPL Adapter (P21383-B21) Note: These adapters do not support PXE boot under Legacy mode.
Either of the following methods will allow the server to boot into the PXE environment: Use UEFI Boot Mode to boot into a PXE environment. Note: A Legacy OS image is NOT supported in this case. OR Set a network adapter that is not listed in the Scope section as the primary network adapter to boot into the PXE environment. RECEIVE PROACTIVE UPDATES : Receive support alerts (such as Customer Advisories), as well as updates on drivers, software, firmware, and customer replaceable components, proactively via e-mail through HPE Subscriber's Choice.
