HPE Integrated Lights-Out 5 (iLO 5) firmware v2.30 (or later) is required for the Platform Level Data Model (PLDM) firmware image and Firmware Package (FWPKG) support on HPE ProLiant Gen10 Plus servers with PLDM adapters. Note : FWPKG is the new packaging format for PLDM firmware. The PLDM update code to support the FWPKG/PLDM image on supported adapters is included with iLO 5 firmware v2.30 (and later). With iLO 5 firmware v2.14 (or earlier), the firmware update will not complete as follows:
Scope

The behavior covered in this advisory will be applicable for any future Mellanox Open network adapters.
Resolution
Update to iLO 5 firmware v2.30 (or later) for the FWPKG/PLDM image to function on supported Mellanox adapters. To download iLO 5 v2.30, perform the following steps: Click the following link: http://www.hpe.com/support/ilo5 Enter a product name (e.g., "iLO 5") in the text search field and wait for a list of Suggested Products to display. From the Suggested Products list displayed, identify the desired product and select it. The page should refresh to display the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" tab and the components that support the selected product. From the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" expandable filter menus on the left side of the page: For further filtering if needed - Select the specific Operating System from the Operating Environment. Locate and select the HPE Integrated Lights-Out 5 v2.30 firmware. click the Revision History tab to locate the latest version. For more important information, review the Release Notes tab. Click the Download button.
