Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has implemented a new naming standard for HPE products to help customers quickly and easily identify the specific vendor and model while configuring HPE platforms. Products sourced from a single vendor are subject to the name change, but the SKU numbers will remain the same throughout the transition from the original product name to new product name. The new product name will distinguish between SKUs that are custom for HPE and SKUs that are vendor specific. HPE is doing a roll out phase with product name changes, and it will evolve over the next 6 months. New product naming will apply to single-sourced SKUs only and will not apply to discontinued and obsolete SKUs on or before December 31, 2020.
