A "Location data is empty" error message will be displayed during the following HPE Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) RESTful Tool operations: Set Serial Number Load BIOS configurations The error message appears while attempting to configure the BIOS / Chassis settings in order to have the Serial number updated, using the iLO RESTful Interface Tool Version 3.0.1.
Scope
Any HPE system attempting to configure the BIOS / Chassis settings in order to have the Serial number updated, using the iLO RESTful Interface Tool Version 3.0.1.
Resolution
The issue is fixed in RESTful Interface Tool Version 3.1 or later.
