HPE B-series SAN switches running Fabric OS (FOS) versions 8.2.1d, 8.2.2a, 9.x or later will require acknowledgement and acceptance of the Brocade End User License Agreement (EULA), prior to installing another firmware version on the switch.

Resolution
Any HPE B-series SAN switch platform running FOS versions 8.2.1d, 8.2.2a, 9.x or later, using the firmwareDownload or firmwareCleanInstall CLI commands to install any version of FOS firmware will be prompted with the following EULA acceptance message: Do you accept and agree to the terms outlined in the End User License Agreement (EULA) for this product? Please respond with (Y/y) to Accept, (N/n) to Not accept, or (D/d) to Display the EULA: Firmware installation is only allowed to proceed after accepting the EULA. When scripting FOS changes with the firmwareDownload or firmwareCleanInstall CLI commands, the new -showEULA to display the EULA as well as -acceptEULA to accept the EULA command options may be used. NOTE : These automated command options will not be allowed when upgrading from FOS versions 8.2.1c, 8.2.2 or earlier directly to FOS 9.0 or later. The CLI, HPE Network Advisor 14.4.5, SANnav version 2.1.0 and later may be used to upgrade or downgrade between all FOS versions except on the Brocade 32Gb FC SAN Switch Module for HPE Synergy running FOS versions 8.2.0_gft or 8.2.0_gft1. Upgrading a Brocade 32Gb FC SAN Switch Module for HPE Synergy running FOS versions 8.2.0_gft or 8.2.0_gft.will require the firmware to be upgraded using the CLI. Future upgrades and downgrades from FOS version 9.x will be supported using Web Tools or SANnav. Upgrading from FOS versions 8.2.1c, 8.2.2 or earlier directly to FOS versions 9.0 or later will not be allowed via Web Tools. This action will be blocked. Fabric OS must first be upgraded to versions 8.2.1d or 8.2.2a (or later) before upgrading to version 9.0 or later. The CLI, HPE Network Advisor 14.4.5, SANnav version 2.1.0 or later may also be used to avoid the multi-step upgrade. HPE SANnav Management Portal 2.0.0a and HPE Network Advisor 14.4.4 or earlier will not be allowed to upgrade or downgrade switches running FOS versions 8.2.1d, 8.2.2a, 9.x or later. These actions will be blocked by FOS. In these instances, HPE Network Advisor 14.4.5, SANnav 2.1.0, Web Tools, or the CLI may be used. HPE SANnav Management Portal 2.0.0a or HPE Network Advisor 14.4.4 or earlier may continue to be used to upgrade and downgrade between FOS versions 8.2.1d and 8.2.2 or earlier.
