Document Version Release Date Details 2 06-14-2021 The Resolution section has been updated with the software version containing the solution. 1 11-16-2020 Original document release. On an HPE Synergy Composer2 with HPE OneView 5.0 (or later), after enabling or disabling access to Integrated Lights-Out (iLO), HPE OneView may display the following alert message: "Appliance bay X: Overall security state of the system is at risk." The alert is generated due to the Composer2 iLO security settings. When viewing the iLO GUI, the iLO Security Dashboard will indicate several possible security risks, as shown below. Due to limited user account privileges, the Composer2 iLO security settings cannot be changed.
Any HPE Synergy Composer2 with HPE OneView 5.0 (or later), in the scenario described above.
The iLO used in the Composer2 is managed by OneView and is not user-manageable. As a result, the alert message and security risks can be safely ignored. This security alert will no longer be displayed in OneView 5.50 (or later). This version can be found in the HPE Synergy Software Releases page. As a workaround, clear the alert in OneView.
