An HPE 6127XLG Blade switch running firmware R4232P06 (or earlier) may reboot randomly. When this occurs, a brief network outage will be observed while the switch is rebooting, unless in a teaming or bonding configuration. A failover event from one port to the other will occur in a teaming or bonding configuration. In addition, monitoring tools will report a trap indicating, for example, that a stack member has rebooted.

Scope

Any HPE 6127XLG Blade switch running firmware R4232P06 (or earlier).

Resolution

Update the firmware to the patch as follows: For firmware R2432P05 patch to R2432P05H17 For firmware R2432P06 patch to R2432P06H12 RECEIVE PROACTIVE UPDATES : Receive support alerts (such as Customer Advisories), as well as updates on drivers, software, firmware, and customer replaceable components, proactively via e-mail through HPE Subscriber's Choice.
