Resolution

Ensure that the network is not misconfigured, therefore causing excessive broadcasts. For example, the incorrect "untagged" vlan configured on an interface (particularly any uplink interfaces). If the network is configured as expected, set the fault-finder broadcast-storm sensitivity <low|medium|high> as appropriate to reduce/eliminate excessive broadcast messages logged, with the following command: fault-finder broadcast-storm sensitivity <low|medium|high> The values for these settings are as follows: Condition Sensitivity Sensitivity Sensitivity Units (in pkts) Time period Fault finder reacts High Medium Low Broadcast storm 2750 9200 15000 One broadcast packet 1 second If avg/second of broadcast packets in the last 20s >= sensitivity RECEIVE PROACTIVE UPDATES : Receive support alerts (such as Customer Advisories), as well as updates on drivers, software, firmware, and customer replaceable components, proactively via e-mail through HPE Subscriber's Choice.
