A ProLiant Gen10 Plus server configured with Pensando network cards may report the assembly part number for both assembly and the product part number in Integrated Lights-Out 5 (iLO 5) version 2.40. This is due to a change implemented in ProLiant Gen10 Plus servers, in which the information is retrieved from SMBIOS by reading the PCI-VPD for Product PN and this is passed to iLO 5. However, Pensando populates the assembly PN to PCI-VPD resulting in the incorrect Product PN being displayed. With ProLiant Gen10 servers this issue does not occur because the Product PN is obtained from FRU in the network adapter. This issue can be observed by going to iLO 5 webpage > System Information > Device Inventory > PCI-E Slot x (Pensando Card) > Slot Details:

Resolution
This condition does NOT cause any adverse effect on the server and the server will continue to function as expected. This issue has been addressed with firmware version 1.28.0 (or later) for Enterprise cards. For the Cloud cards, this document will be updated when more information becomes available.
