Document Version Release Date Details 2 March 11, 2024 Updated the Resolution with the software component that resolves this issue. 1 June 18, 2021 Original Document Release. On HPE ProLiant DL110/DL360/DL380 Gen10 Plus Servers running VMware ESXi 7.0 U2, the Intel Virtual RAID on CPU (VROC) Gen10 Plus SW RAID VMDR CLI for VMware 7.0 Version 2021.05.01 (cp047463) may fail to install and report the following error: "Could not find a trusted signer: self signed certificate" This occurs because the component is not officially signed by VMware, encountering a signature issue during installation. Note: Intel Virtual RAID on CPU (VROC) Gen10 Plus SW RAID VMDR CLI for VMware7.0 Version 2021.05.01 (cp047463) only applies for servers running VMware ESXi 7.0 U2. Servers running VMware ESXi 7.0 cannot use this component.

Any of the following HPE Gen10 Plus Servers running VMware ESXi 7.0 U2 to install Intel VROC Gen10 Plus SW RAID VMDR CLI for VMware 7.0 version 2021.05.01: HPE ProLiant DL110 Gen10 Plus server HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen10 Plus server HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Plus server
Resolution
To resolve this issue, download and install the following software smart component: Intel Virtual RAID on CPU (VROC) Gen10 Plus SW RAID VMDR CLI for ESXi 7.0 version 2021.05.01(B) (or later) RECEIVE PROACTIVE UPDATES : Receive support alerts (such as Customer Advisories), as well as updates on drivers, software, firmware, and customer replaceable components, proactively in your e-mail through HPE Support Alerts.
