On an HPE ProLiant Gen10 server running Intelligent Provisioning version 3.60 (or later), the following error message may be returned when attempting to use Intelligent Provisioning Rapid Setup Tool to install Microsoft Windows Server onto a non-RAID (JBOD) drive, when the Hard Disk drives are located in a bay connected to SAS Port 2 of the Smart Array SR Gen10 controllers: "ctrlEnclosures[ctrlBoxRes.box].PhysicalDrives[(Number(…)- 1)] is undefined"
Any HPE ProLiant Gen10 server running Intelligent Provisioning version 3.60 (or later), installing Microsoft Windows Server onto a non-RAID (JBOD) drive located in a bay connected to SAS Port 2 of the Smart Array SR Gen10 controller. The issue is not observed if the drive is connected to SAS Port 1. The issue is also not exhibited in Intelligent Provisioning version 3.52 (or earlier).
The issue has been fixed with Intelligent Provisioning version 3.70, available here . Note: To ensure that you have selected the latest version of the firmware/driver, click the Revision History tab to check if a new version of the firmware/driver is available. As a workaround, connect/install the disk to SAS Port 1 of the Smart Array SR Gen10 controller if installing Microsoft Windows Using Intelligent Provisioning Rapid Setup Tool.
