Info

For the latest fixes, security enhancements, and features, HPE recommends updating HPE OneView to the latest HPE OneView version available. If unable to update to the latest HPE OneView version, HPE recommends updating to the latest milestone release, which will provide an easy update path to future HPE OneView versions. A milestone release is a release with enhanced update architecture that is pre-requisite prior to updating to a following release. Starting with HPE OneView 5.2, features and fixes have been delivered with a faster release cycle. No patches (minor releases) are planned with the rare exception of high severity issues. Fixes will be delivered in a following release. HPE Support will continue to assist users with active support contracts to help resolve any issue. HPE OneView releases are listed in the tables below: For more details, refer to the: HPE OneView Version Release Date 8.9 April 2024 8.8 March 2024 6.60.07 March 2024 8.7 January 2024 6.60.06 November 2023 8.60.01*****(milestone) November 2023 8.00.01**** (milestone) November 2023 8.6* (milestone) October 2023 8.40.01*** October 2023 6.60.05 September 2023 8.5 August 2023 8.4 June 2023 8.30.01**milestone September 2023 8.3 *milestone May 2023 6.60.04 April 2023 8.2 March 2023 6.60.03 February 2023 8.1 January 2023 8.0* (milestone) November 2022 7.2 September 2022 7.1 July 2022 7.0* (milestone) May 2022 6.60.02 September 2022 6.60.01 August 2022 6.6 (long-term support) March 2022 **8.30.01 replaces release 8.3 ***8.40.01 replaces release 8.4 ****8.00.01 replaces 8.0 *****8.60.01 replaces 8.6 HPE OneView 6.3, 8.0, 8.00.01, 8.3.01 and 8.60.01 are milestone releases and must be updated to before updating to a subsequent release. A milestone release is a release with enhanced update architecture which will deliver faster and more reliable updates. Milestone releases are expected two to three releases apart. FOR INFORMATION ON ONEVIEW RELEASES 6.5 AND EARLIER, refer to the following document: Document - HPE OneView - Product Lifecycle and Additional Resources for OV Versions 6.5 (and Earlier) Only | HPE Support HPE OneView Faster Release Cycle and Milestone Releases document An HPE OneView long-term support (LTS) release extends support for select HPE hardware platforms. This LTS release may be patched to address security and other customer-identified critical issues until the extended support date. A patch to an LTS release will not contain new features. If you continue to use these EOL hardware platforms or devices, you must remain on the specified HPE OneView LTS release. Those platforms will remain supported until their associated software end-of-support-life (EOSL) date. An attempt to update from an LTS release to a newer release with end-of-life (EOL) hardware platforms or devices is blocked. If you want to update to a future release, then you must remove the EOL hardware platforms.
