Approximately every 24 hours, on HPE ProLiant or Synergy Gen10 servers utilizing Intel Xeon Scalable Processors, the server may experience a loss of CPU utilization and potentially a drop in network traffic for approximately 50 milliseconds. This can result in dropped network clients.

Scope

This issue impacts HPE ProLiant and Synergy Gen10 servers utilizing Intel Xeon Scalable Processors running the following Innovation Engine (IE) Firmware revisions: 0.2.2.2 0.2.2.3

Resolution

Impacted HPE ProLiant and Synergy servers should be upgraded to Innovation Engine (IE) Firmware revision 0.2.3.0 to avoid this issue: Online ROM Flash for Windows x64 - HPE Gen10 Innovation Engine Firmware for HPE Gen10 Servers ROM Flash Firmware Package - HPE Gen10 Innovation Engine Firmware for HPE Gen10 Servers (VMware) Online ROM Flash for Linux - HPE Gen10 Innovation Engine Firmware for HPE Gen10 Servers This firmware revision will also be available in the next SPP release.
