HPE Gen11 systems configured with two AMD processors support a single processor configuration that requires only five fans. When the system boots, HPE Integrated Lights-Out (iLO 6) logs the following Integrated Management Log (IML)events: “System Fan Removed” – For 2 fans “Insufficient Fan Solution” The IML events can be ignored if five fans are populated as it does not affect the functionality of the system.

Any HPE Gen 11 system configured with two AMD processors.

Resolution

The IML events can be ignored if five fans are populated as it does not affect the functionality of the system. This issue is targeted to be resolved in future versions of iLO 6 and system firmware. This advisory will be updated when additional information is available.
