Document Version Release Date Details 2 October 5, 2023 Updated the Resolution with the controller firmware versions that contain the fix 1 January 24, 2023 Original Document Release If the HPE Smart Storage battery is not connected to an HPE SR Gen11 controller, the controller will display a "Critical" status after a RAID volume is created. The error will be reported in the iLO GUI and Redfish, as shown below. NOTE : Purchasing the HPE Smart Storage battery is optional. This issue only occurs if the optional HPE Smart Storage battery is not installed, or it is installed but is not connected. Resolution
