Document Version Release Date Details 3 March 26, 2024 Added information for the HPE License Support Team in the Resolution section 2 October 18, 2023 Changed the title, replaced all content in the Description section, and updated the Details section with information on obtaining the SANnav license 1 March 3, 2023 Original Document Release The Brocade Assist Portal now requires a SANnav serial number to download the HPE SANnav installation package. Customers that have previous SANnav installations may use its serial number. First-time SANnav installations will need to use the serial number that is emailed to them as part of their order fulfillment.

Scope

This applies to all installations of HPE SANnav Management Software on HPE B-series Switches.

Resolution

HPE is now sending out two (2) emails when you purchase a SANnav license. The first contains the Entitlement Order Number (EON), which is used to redeem the license on the My HPE Software Center website. The second email contains the SANnav serial number, which is used to download SANnav from the Brocade assist portal. Both emails will be sent from Software_Services_Support ( Software_services_support@groups.ext.hpe.com ). The second email with the serial number will have a subject line: License serial number from HPE order 0000000000 , where " 0000000000 " will be the order number. HPE SANnav license redemption steps will be included with these emails, and they are also available in the HPE Addendum to the Brocade SANnav Management Portal and Global View User Guide . Issues with these emails should be opened with the HPE License Support Team on the Contact Information page at My HPE Software Center and should include your order number and details.
