Any of the HPE Gen11 servers mentioned in the Scope section below may stop responding "Memory Initialization - Start" on Power-On Self-Test (POST) during system boot. The failure may occur during system boot, and the failure rate is very low.

Scope

Any of the following servers: HPE Alletra 4110 HPE Alletra 4120 HPE ProLiant DL320 Gen11 HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen11 HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 HPE ProLiant DL380a Gen11 HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen11

Resolution

This issue has been fixed with Intel SPS version 06.01.04.005.0 or later (Gen11 Server Platform Services (SPS) Release Version: 2.10_11_09_2023 or later). Note: this version of the SPS should be paired with System ROM 2.10 (11/28/2023) or later. To download the latest SPS Firmware, perform the following steps: 1.Click the following link: Hewlett Packard Enterprise Support Center . 2.Enter a product name (e.g., " DL380 Gen11") in the text search field and wait for a list of Suggested Products to display. From the Suggested Products list displayed, identify the desired product and select it. 3.The page should refresh to display the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" tab and the components that support the selected product. From the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" expandable filter menus on the left side of the page: -Type "SPS" in the search. -Select the Software Type "Firmware" -Select the Subtype "System" -For further filtering if needed select the specific Operating System from the Operating Environment Type. 4.Locate and select the Server Platform Services (SPS) 06.01.04.005.0 (or later). Note: To ensure that you have selected the latest version of the firmware/driver, click the Revision History tab to check if a new version of the firmware/driver is available. For more important information, review the Release Notes tab. 5.Click Download. Take the steps below to recover the system if the SPS version is older than 06.01.04.005.0: Use a virtual power button selection through iLO or press and hold the Power On/Standby button for more than 4 seconds to power down the server. Power up the system through iLO virtual power button or press the Power On/Standby button. RECEIVE PROACTIVE UPDATES : Receive support alerts (such as Customer Advisories), as well as updates on drivers, software, firmware, and customer replaceable components, proactively in your e-mail through HPE Support Alerts.
