Info

Document Version Release Date Details 2 June 27, 2023 Description and Details sections updated. 1 March 22, 2023 Original document release. The HPE Broadcom Firmware upgrade utility for certain HPE Broadcom-based network adapters may fail to update the firmware when the inbox driver is loaded in Linux instead of the recommended Out-Of-Box (OOB) driver. This occurs due to a driver dependency of the Out-Of-Box (OOB) driver to install the firmware of the HPE Broadcom-based network adapters. If the Out-Of-Box (OOB) driver is not installed and loaded, the firmware component or Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) will not be able to update firmware during component installation. This condition only applies for the HPE Broadcom-based network adapters listed in the Details section below.
