On HPE Gen11 VROC NVMe-enabled servers with HPE Integrated Lights-Out 6 (iLO 6) version 1.20 and running a VMware ESXi 8.0/7.0 U3 OS, the Intel VMD Status on the Device Inventory Page of the iLO GUI will be Displayed as "Unknown," even though the status is actually "enabled."
This issue is seen intermittently on VROC NVMe-enabled HPE Gen11 servers with iLO 6 firmware version 1.20 and a VMware ESXi 8.0/7.0 U3 OS.
This will be corrected in a future version of iLO 6. This advisory will be updated when the download is available. As a workaround, Cold Boot the server to restore the status to "enabled." This incorrect "unknown" status does not affect the operation or functionality of the server and can be safely ignored.
