Info

Document Version Release Date Details 2 January 5, 2024 Updated the Resolution section with a fix for HPE StoreOnce Gen4 software version 4.3.7 and later 1 May 31, 2023 Original Document Release Replacing the SAS Expander HBA (Spare P/N: 761879-001) with a newer SAS Expander HBA (Spare P/N: 876907-001) results in a System Alert and recommends downgrading the firmware. This issue only occurs only when the existing SAS expander is replaced. The new SAS expander HBA (P/N: 876907-001), which replaces 761879-001, does not support a downgrade of its firmware. Downgrading the firmware leads to the SAS expander HBA being unusable and can result in a potential data unavailability scenario.
