On any of the HPE ProLiant Gen11 servers mentioned in the Scope section below, configured with either of the following Pensando cards, <null string> may be displayed for Slot Description, Data Width, Negotiated Link Width and Mechanical Width under BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) > PCIe Device Information, instead of the real value. Affected network cards: Pensando Distributed Services Platform DSC-25 Enterprise 10/25Gb 2-port OCP3 Card (P37687-B21) Pensando Distributed Services Platform DSC-25 Enterprise 10/25Gb 2-port SFP28 Card (P26966-B21) This is a display issue only, the functions of the network cards are not impacted.
Scope
Any of the following servers running a System ROM Version 1.44 (07/31/2023) or earlier: HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen11 HPE ProLiant DL320 Gen11 Any of the following servers running a System ROM Version 1.42 (08/16/2023) or earlier: HPE ProLiant DL385 Gen11 HPE ProLiant DL345 Gen11 HPE ProLiant DL325 Gen11 HPE ProLiant DL365 Gen11
Resolution
This issue has been solved with the following System ROM versions: System ROM 2.10 (or later): HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen11 HPE ProLiant DL320 Gen11 System ROM Version 1.56 (or later): HPE ProLiant DL385 Gen11 HPE ProLiant DL345 Gen11 HPE ProLiant DL325 Gen11 HPE ProLiant DL365 Gen11 To download the latest System ROM, perform the following steps: 1.Click the following link: Hewlett Packard Enterprise Support Center . 2.Enter a product name (e.g., " DL380 Gen10") in the text search field and wait for a list of Suggested Products to display. From the Suggested Products list displayed, identify the desired product and select it. 3.The page should refresh to display the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" tab and the components that support the selected product. From the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" expandable filter menus on the left side of the page: -Select the Software Type "BIOS" -Select the Subtype "System ROM" -For further filtering if needed select the specific Operating System from the Operating Environment Type. 4.Locate and select the System ROM 2.10 (or later). Note: To ensure that you have selected the latest version of the firmware/driver, click the Revision History tab to check if a new version of the firmware/driver is available. For more important information, review the Release Notes tab. 5.Click Download.
