Document Version Release Date Details 2 March 20, 2024 Updated the Resolution with the permanent fix, iLO 5 firmware v3.02 and iLO 6 firmware v1.57. 1 October 30, 2023 Original Document Release. In a server configured with drives in the hundreds, in the HPE Integrated Lights-Out 5 (iLO 5) or iLO 6 User Interface, clicking on the "System Information" -> "Storage" tab may render the iLO 5 or iLO 6 user interface unresponsive and inaccessible. The iLO 5 or iLO 6 user interface will display the following message: No drives were found in this system. You may need to reboot the host system to discover them. Failed to retrieve complete storage device information. Refresh the page in a few minutes. A reset of iLO 5 or iLO 6 is required for the web interface to be accessible again. However, clicking on the "Storage" tab will cause the web interface to be inaccessible again Note : iLO 5 can monitor 256 physical drives total and 256 volumes total. Refer to the iLO 5 User Guide for more information.
Any HPE ProLiant Gen10 Plus server with iLO 5 or iLO 6 with hundreds of drives configured.
This is resolved in iLO 5 firmware v3.02 and iLO 6 firmware v1.57. To download iLO 5 v3.02 or iLO 6 v1.57, perform the following steps: Click either of the following links: http://www.hpe.com/support/ilo5 or http://www.hpe.com/support/ilo6 The page should refresh to display the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" tab and the components that support the selected product. From the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" expandable filter menus on the left side of the page: For further filtering if needed - Select the specific Operating System from the Operating Environment. Locate and select the HPE Integrated Lights-Out 5 v3.02 Firmware or HPE Integrated Lights-Out 6 v1.57 Firmware . click the Revision History tab to locate the latest version. For more important information, review the Release Notes tab. Click the Download button.
