HPE Integrated Lights-Out 6 (iLO 6)
No fixed releases provided.
When a user initiates a server restart through the operating system immediately after performing an HPE integrated Lights-Out 6 (iLO 6) reset procedure, the server will shut down rather than restarting. This occurs because when an HPE Gen11 system is accessing the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI), that requires a minimum time for synchronization between iLO 6 and the operating system, Linux or Windows.
Any HPE Gen11 system with iLO 6.
Due to the iLO 6 management controller loading multiple application components in the background during an iLO 6 reset is in progress, and the iLO 6 takes longer than ILO 5. HPE recommends waiting for the completion of iLO 6 reset task and at least two minutes before initiating a server restart through the operating system. This recommendation applies when the iLO 6 is reset either through an iLO 6 firmware update or manually. This advisory will be updated when additional information is available.
