Any HPE server configured with the 800W Flex Slot Platinum Hot Plug Low Halogen Power Supply Kit (P39385-001/P38995-B21) and running firmware version 3.0, may go into standby mode and fail, causing loss of redundancy and producing IML messages similar to the following: *Caution,103,2261,0x0D,Power,0x0B,IML,...System Power Supply: General Failure (Power Supply X) ACTION: Replace the power supply. *Caution,103,2265,0x0D,Power,0x0B,IML,...System Power Supplies Not Redundant ACTION: Add a power supply or replace the failed power supply. Note : Fault can be with any installed PSU that goes into standby.

Scope

Delta 800W Flex Slot Platinum Hot Plug Low Halogen Power Supply Kit (P39385-001/P38995-B21) running firmware version 3.0.

Resolution

Update the power supply to firmware version 3.01 (or later) using the required firmware links available here: Software Details - ROM Flash Firmware Package - Flexslot_Power_Supply_800W_Platinum | HPE Support Software Details - Online Power Supply Flash Component for Linux - Flexslot_Power_Supply_800W_Platinum | HPE Support Software Details - Online Power Supply Flash Component for Windows - Flexslot_Power_Supply_800W_Platinum | HPE Support Note: To ensure that you have selected the latest version of the firmware/driver, click the Revision History tab to check if a new version of the firmware/driver is available. If the issue occurs and the power supply is in a failed state, power-cycle it to start it running again, then proceed with the firmware flash.
