HPE StoreOnce software version 4.3.7 is now available for HPE StoreOnce Systems and HPE StoreOnce VSA systems running software versions 4.x. NOTE : Updates to HPE StoreOnce software version 4.3.7 are only supported from version 4.2.3 or later, and HPE StoreOnce 3660, 5260, and 5660 systems only support software version 4.3.0 or later. IMPORTANT : Customers who have updated to HPE StoreOnce software version 4.3.7-2341.50 are required to update to HPE StoreOnce software version 4.3.7-2345.50 to avoid data unavailability due to the stores going offline in specific cases, as described below. Typical scenarios would be: A system running HPE StoreOnce software version 4.3.6 having a store with a Zero-length item in the store (the Zero-length items are usually created through ISVs). When a system is updated to HPE StoreOnce software version 4.3.7-2341.50, the update will be successful. When the system tries to access the data store with the Zero-length item, the store goes offline resulting in data unavailability. NOTE : Systems running HPE StoreOnce software version 4.3.6 or earlier will have no impact and can directly update to the latest 4.3.7 software, which is 4.3.7-2345.50. HPE StoreOnce software version 4.3.7 includes all features and enhancements included in software versions 4.1.2, 4.1.3, 4.2.1, 4.2.3, 4.3.0, 4.3.2, 4.3.4, 4.3.5, and 4.3.6. For details about new features and enhancements in 4.3.7 and earlier releases, see the software release notes at the HPE Support Center website. Select Knowledge Base , and search for HPE StoreOnce Software or HPE StoreOnce. Features and Enhancements in HPE StoreOnce software version 4.3.7 HPE StoreOnce 4.3.7 supports three new NIC card models: BCM57416 OCP3: used for Internal NIC BCM57416: Base-T 10G PCIe NIC card is used in slots 1, 2, 4, and 5 BCM57414: 10/25G SFP28-based PCIe NIC card will be used in slots 1, 2, 4, and 5 HPE StoreOnce 4.3.7 newly supports Broadcom NIC cards HPE StoreOnce 4.3.7 and later supports Dual Authorization for Virtual Tape Library (VTL) operations. These operations need the HPE StoreOnce security officer's approval. HPE StoreOnce 4.3.7 has provided new firmware updates to Gen10 Plus, Gen10 components, and some of the drives HPE StoreOnce 4.3.7 has the Cloud bank read/write connection time, reduced from 24 hours to 15 minutes HPE StoreOnce 4.3.7 provides the minimum and maximum Cloud Store versions that have now been exposed on the GUI during Cloud Bank reconnect to allow you to check compatibility when reconnecting a Cloud Bank store NOTE : TLS 1.0 and 1.1 are disabled in software versions 4.2.3 and later; only TLS 1.2 is supported. HPE StoreOnce 4.3.7 will replace the existing software version 4.3.6 on at the HPE Support Center website. HPE recommends upgrading to HPE StoreOnce 4.3.7 if you have a system that is running software version 4.3.6.

HPE strongly recommends updating systems currently running HPE StoreOnce software version 4.3.7-2341.50 to the latest version (4.3.7-2345.50) immediately, to avoid data unavailability. This issue is fixed in HPE StoreOnce software version 4.3.7-2345.50. For update instructions, see the HPE StoreOnce 3620, 3640, 5200, 5250 and 5650 Systems User Guide and the HPE StoreOnce 3660, 5260 and 5660 Systems User Guide , both available at the HPE Support Center website. NOTE : The images available for download in the HPE Support Center pages are of the latest 4.3.7-2345.50 build. To obtain software version 4.3.7-2345.50: Go to the HPE Support Center website. In the Search box, enter your product (for example, HPE StoreOnce 3640 System ). In order to obtain the latest release version at the top, the search results can be sorted by DATE. From the products displayed, identify the desired product and click on the link. Click Obtain Software . IMPORTANT : There is no upgrade path from earlier generations of HPE StoreOnce software to HPE StoreOnce version 4.x software. Compatibility Notes The following HPE StoreOnce Catalyst Plug-ins for Veritas NetBackup, Veritas Backup Exec, and Applications plug-in versions are supported with HPE StoreOnce software version 4.3.7: HPE StoreOnce Catalyst Plugin v1.6.0 and earlier for Microsoft SQL HPE StoreOnce Catalyst Plugin v3.5.0 and earlier for Oracle RMAN HPE StoreOnce Catalyst Plugin v2.3.0 and earlier for SAP HANA HPE StoreOnce Catalyst OST Plugin v4.4.0.2 and earlier for Veritas NetBackup HPE StoreOnce Catalyst OST Plugin v4.4.0 and earlier for BackupExec for Windows The application compatibility for HPE StoreOnce 4.3.7 will be similar to the compatibility for HPE StoreOnce 4.3.6, shown in the HPE StoreOnce Compatibility Matrix (Note: You need an HPE Passport account to access this matrix).
