Document Version Release Date Details 2 January 24, 2024 Updated the Resolution with the permanent fix, iLO 6 firmware v1.55. 1 November 17, 2023 Original Document Release. On an HPE ProLiant DL20 Gen11 or HPE ProLiant ML30 Gen11 server with HPE Integrated Lights-Out 6 (iLO 6), the DeviceClass property displayed under Redfish Uri /redfish/v1/UpdateService/FirmwareInventory/{ID} corresponding to SPS firmware is not matching with DeviceClass displayed under Redfish Uri/redfish/v1/UpdateService/ComponentRepository/{ID} corresponding to Server Platform Services (SPS) firmware.
Scope
Any HPE ProLiant DL20 Gen11 or HPE ProLiant ML30 Gen11 server.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, update to iLO 6 v1.55. Refer to DeviceClass displayed under Redfish Uri /redfish/v1/UpdateService/ComponentRepository/{ID} corresponding to SPS firmware. As a workaround, bundle update via Redfish Uri /redfish/v1/updateservice/Actions/UpdateService.SimpleUpdate/ can be used for the firmware update. To download iLO 6 v1.55, perform the following steps: Click the following link: http://www.hpe.com/support/ilo5 The page should refresh to display the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" tab and the components that support the selected product. From the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" expandable filter menus on the left side of the page: For further filtering if needed - Select the specific Operating System from the Operating Environment. Locate and select the HPE Integrated Lights-Out 6 v1.55 firmware . click the Revision History tab to locate the latest version. For more important information, review the Release Notes tab. Click the Download button.
