On an HPE ProLiant ML30 Gen11 or HPE ProLiant DL20 Gen11 server, if HPE Integrated Lights-Out 6 (iLO 6) is set to factory defaults in - System Configuration - iLO 6 Configuration Utility - Network Options, the following pop-up message will be displayed during the next boot: Current value of Network Interface adapter setting does not match possible option values. Setting is forced to the default value. This error message can be ignored by pressing Enter to continue. The network adapter settings will function as expected after manually setting network interface adapter to the previous configuration.
Scope
Any HPE ProLiant ML30 Gen11 or HPE ProLiant DL20 Gen 11 server with iLO 6 firmware 1.53 (or earlier).
Resolution
To resolve this issue, update to iLO 6 v1.55. The pop-up error message can be ignored by pressing ENTER to continue. Manually select network interface adapter as Shared Network Port - LOM if Shared Network Port – LOM was selected before setting iLO 6 to default. The network adapter settings will function as expected after manually setting the network interface adapter to the previous configuration. To download iLO 6 v1.55, perform the following steps: Click the following link: http://www.hpe.com/support/ilo5 The page should refresh to display the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" tab and the components that support the selected product. From the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" expandable filter menus on the left side of the page: For further filtering if needed - Select the specific Operating System from the Operating Environment. Locate and select the HPE Integrated Lights-Out 6 v1.55 firmware . click the Revision History tab to locate the latest version. For more important information, review the Release Notes tab. Click the Download button.
