Scope
Any HPE Gen10 server using HPE Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) to update the following HPE MR Gen10 Plus Controllers: HPE MR216i-a Gen10 Plus x16 Lanes without Cache NVMe/SAS 12G Controller (P26325-B21) HPE MR216i-p Gen10 Plus x16 Lanes without Cache NVMe/SAS 12G Controller (P26324-B21) HPE MR416i-a Gen10 Plus x16 Lanes 4GB Cache NVMe/SAS 12G Controller (P26279-B21) HPE MR416i-p Gen10 Plus x16 Lanes 4GB Cache NVMe/SAS 12G Controller (P06367-B21)
Resolution
To resolve this issue, ignore the Deployment error message and reboot the server. The firmware should be updated after the server reboots. To locate the firmware version, complete the following steps: Log into the iLO GUI “Information - iLO Overview” default page. Select System Information in the iLO 5 left side bar which takes you to the “Summary” default page. Select Device Inventory to find the firmware version. If the firmware did not update after rebooting, download and update the HPE Gen10 Plus Controller firmware package from the HPE website at any of the links below. Ignoring the update failure message, reboot the server to activate the updated HPE Gen10 Plus Controller firmware on the Gen10 server: HPE MR416i-a Gen10 Plus Tri Mode Controller (Version 52.24.3-4948 or later) HPE MR416i-p Gen10 Plus Tri Mode Controller with Gen10 and Gen10 Plus servers (Version 52.24.3-4948 or later) HPE MR216i-a Gen10 Plus Tri Mode Controller (Version 52.24.3-4948 or later) HPE MR216i-p Gen10 Plus Tri Mode Controller with Gen10 and Gen10 Plus servers (Version 52.24.3-4948 or later) RECEIVE PROACTIVE UPDATES : Receive support alerts (such as Customer Advisories), as well as updates on drivers, software, firmware, and customer replaceable components, proactively in your e-mail through HPE Support Alerts.
