An HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Plus server or Apollo 4200 Gen10 Plus system may stop responding during POST when the NVMe PCIe Resource Padding is set to Medium or High, under BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) > PCIe Device Configuration > Advanced PCIe Configuration:
Either of the following: ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Plus configured with 2 or more 8SFF NVMe backplanes. Apollo 4200 Gen10 Plus configured with HPE Smart Array P816i-a and one or more 8SFF NVMe backplane(s).
