On HPE ProLiant Gen10 and later servers, the quickly repaired event of "Solid state disk wear status is now Other" can be reported when all of the following circumstances are met: The embedded controller is set to AHCI mode The Server is running in a Windows environment and has the Agentless Management (AMS) installed There are SATA disk drives or M.2 SATA SSD add-in cards directly attached to the onboard SATA ports of the system board These are examples of Integrated Management Log (IML) entries based on the server configuration: Repaired,394,4436,0x0013,Drive Array,0x0033,Hardware,10/20/2023 16:36:49,741: Solid state disk wear status is now Other for drive at location Embedded SATA Port X . ACTION: 1. Verify cables are good and fully seated. 2. Ensure all drives are fully seated. 3. Verify backplane, controller, and drive compatibility. 4. Replace the defective drive. OR Repaired,346,6720,0x0013,Drive Array,0x0033,Hardware,10/20/2023 17:15:56,630: Solid state disk wear status is now Ok for drive at location SATA Drive Box 1 Bay Y . ACTION: 1. Verify cables are good and fully seated. 2. Ensure all drives are fully seated. 3. Verify backplane, controller, and drive compatibility. 4. Replace the defective drive.

Scope

This advisory applies to HPE ProLiant Gen10 and later servers that have the supported SATA disk drives or an M.2 SATA SSD add-in card directly attached to the onboard SATA ports of the system board, and the embedded controller set to AHCI mode.
