On HPE ProLiant servers running VMware ESXi OS, HPE MR Gen10 Plus and Gen11 Controllers may not function after an MR firmware update that is performed online using HPE fwpkg, or using the SPP. Below are two (2) example scenarios of how to identify that the controller is not functioning: Scenario 1 The HPE Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) Device Inventory displays a Firmware Version of "N/A" and a Status of "Unknown": Scenario 2 When viewing the System Configuration window, the HPE MR controller is not listed:

Resolution
The following HPE MR controller firmware versions fix this issue. If the firmware is updated to an earlier version than listed, the controller may not function as expected, and the controller will need to be replaced. HPE strongly recommends updating HPE MR controllers to the latest version of controller firmware. NOTE : All of the downloads below can be performed remotely.
