When creating a volume using the RESTful Interface Tool (iLORest) with the "ReadCachePolicy" or "WriteCachePolicy" parameters, the following error may be seen: ERROR : Invalid ReadCachePolicy, Value should be 'Off' or 'ReadAhead' ERROR : Invalid WriteCachePolicy, Values should be 'Off', 'WriteThrough','ProtectedWriteBack','UnprotectedWriteBack' This will occur under all of the following conditions. The "createvolume volume" or "createlogicaldrive volume" command is used. The "ReadCachePolicy" or "WriteCachePolicy" parameter is used. Server is Gen11 HPE RESTful Interface Tool is version 4.6.0.0 or earlier. NOTE: These errors can occur even when using the correct values for "ReadCachePolicy" or "WriteCachePolicy".
The HPE RESTful Interface Tool version 4.6.0.0 or earlier when creating volumes on HPE Gen11 servers using MR or SR storage controllers.
This issue is resolved in HPE RESTful Interface Tool Version 4.7.0.0 . As a workaround, create the volume without the "ReadCachePolicy" or "WriteCachePolicy" parameters and update the volume after creation with these parameters.
