HPE SR100i Gen10 Plus Software RAID configured on AMD servers does not support the Microsoft Secured-core and the AMD DMA Remapping (DMAr) feature. Enabling Microsoft Secured-core or the AMD DMAr feature in the BIOS /Platform Configuration/ ROM-Based Setup Utility (RBSU) results in unexpected behavior such as a Red Screen of Death (RSOD), lost controller, or attached drives missing from the configuration. Below is an example of the settings in the RBSU AMD Remapping. This document applies to HPE SR100i Gen10 Plus Software RAID on all AMD servers.
When the HPE SR100i Gen10 Plus Software RAID is configured on an AMD server, NEVER enable AMD DMA remapping or Microsoft Secured-core Support in the RBSU configuration. If the Microsoft Secured-core or AMD DMA remapping is enabled, resulting in the unexpected behavior, power-off the system and then reset the RBSU settings through the iLO.
