Info

When checking the HPE Smart Storage Administrator (SSA) GUI using the HPE Server SATA drive models MB1000GDUNU, MB2000GDUNV, MB3000GDUPA, or MB4000GDUPB, the physical drive information will show "Sanitize Freeze Lock Supported No" and "Sanitize Anti-Freeze Lock Supported No".

Scope

This document applies to the following HPE Server SATA Hard Drive models, which use ATA command set v2.0 (ACS2): MB1000GDUNU MB2000GDUNV MB3000GDUPA MB4000GDUPB

Resolution

These HPE Server SATA drive models use the ATA command set v2.0 (ACS2). Drive vendors now use ATA command set v3.0 (ACS3) or later. The Sanitize Lock Feature is not supported in ACS2. HPE Server SATA drive models using the ATA command set v2.0 (ACS2) do not support the Sanitize Lock Feature by design. No action is required.
