After entering the MegaRAID UEFI HII utility in an HPE Compute Scale-up Server 3200 (SUS3200), the selection boxes are not displayed for selecting drives in the "Create Virtual Drive" menu option: In addition, the Confirm checkbox is not visible in the "Create Virtual Drive > Save Configuration," "Clear Configuration," and "Convert to Unconfigured" menu options.
Scope
Any HPE Compute Scale-Up Server 3200 configured with either of the following MegaRAID Controllers: R9N96A HPE MR9660-16i Tri-Mode PCIe4 Controller R9N98A HPE MR9670W-16i PCIe4 Controller
Resolution
To address or avoid this issue, use the IO Service Pack HPE Compute Scale-up Server 3200 firmware version 2023.10: https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/swd/detail?swItemId=MTX_87b5e51c21154db0ab917405e6 As a workaround, use the HPE Compute Scale-Up Server 3200 MegaRAID Storage Administrator StorCLI2 command tool available from the I/O Service Pack (IOSP) to configure MegaRAID adapters in the system. Two configuration alternatives are available: Option 1: Booting from IOSP: After booting the IOSP, access the command line (smartstart prompt) on the serial console (RMC> connect npar). The MegaRAID Storage Administrator StorCLI2 tool is already part of the offline boot environment available in the IOSP. Type /opt/MegaRAID/storcli2/storcli2 with the appropriate command line arguments to configure the MegaRAID controller. Option 2: With the customer OS up and running: Mount the IOSP .iso Install the HPE CSUS 3200 MegaRAID Storage Administrator StorCLI2 command line tool from the IOSP using HPE Smart Update Manager (SUM). Linux: rpm -ihv <mount_point>/packages/storcli2-*.rpm Windows: X:\packages\cp058335.exe Issue storcli2 commands with the appropriate command line arguments to configure the MegaRAID controller.
