When multiple storage controllers of the same type are on a system and are updated via HPE OneView, one of the storage controllers may have older firmware. When the flash update occurs, all of the storage controllers of the same type will update, even if a storage controller is already up-to-date. NOTE : All the controllers will be updated, even when the force reinstall option has not been applied.
Any HPE System with multiple storage controllers; however, this issue only occurs with the P204i, E208i, P408i, P416ie-m Gen10, or P416ie-m for Gen10 and Gen10 Plus controllers: HPE Smart Array E208i-c Controller HPE Smart Array P204i-c Controller HPE Smart Array P408i-c Controller HPE Smart Array P416ie-m Gen10 Controller HPE Smart Array P416ie-m SR Gen10 Plus Controller
The firmware update task will successfully complete. (There is no functionality impact.) However, the controller that is already up-to-date will be updated again.
