When managing HPE Gen11 servers with Integrated Lights-Out 6 (iLO 6) firmware version 1.54 or later, an alert message may appear without a description or resolution. The alert will be caused from a security risk detected by iLO 6. The following alert messages are examples of how they may appear: The alerts are caused by iLO events sent when iLO detects certain settings on the security dashboard, and iLO evaluates these alert events as being critical. The security events are part of a feature introduced in iLO 6 firmware version 1.54. The issue can occur on HPE OneView version 8.6 or earlier that monitors or manages Gen11 servers with iLO 6 firmware version 1.54 or later. It will affect any Virtual Machine (VM) appliance or HPE Synergy Composer.
Scope
HPE OneView 8.6 or earlier that monitors or manages HPE Gen11 servers with Integrated Lights-Out 6 (iLO 6) firmware version 1.54 or later.
Resolution
This issue is corrected in OneView 8.70. Update to HPE OneView 8.70 (or later) to prevent security alerts from appearing without descriptions or resolutions. As a workaround to resolve the issue, perform the following steps: Navigate to the "Security Dashboard" tab under the "Information" section on the Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) of the affected server. Check for the security parameters that will display the status as "Risk." Click the "Risk" to see the risk description and the recommended resolution/actions. Take the action recommended on the iLO security dashboard. After taking the required action, navigate to the OneView Activity page and manually clear the alert.
