On an HPE ProLiant DL20 Gen11 or ProLiant ML30 Gen11 server with the LAN cable connected to the onboard NIC, the connection to PXE boot server may fail during the PXE Boot. When this occurs, the following screens will be displayed while the server is retrying repeatedly to boot: 1. >> Booting Embedded LOM 1 Port 1: BCM 5719 1GBE 4p BASE-T LOM Adptr - NIC (HTTP(S) IPv4) >>Start HTTP Boot over IPv4 2. >> Booting Embedded LOM 1 Port 1: BCM 5719 1GBE 4p BASE-T LOM Adptr - NIC (HTTP(S) IPv6) >> Start HTTP Boot over IPv6. Error: Could not retrieve NBP file size from HTTP server. Error: Unexpected network error. No offers received matching the 'UEFI HTTP Boot' Policy. 3. Set up your server Hewlett Packard Enterprise logo No bootable devices were detected. Please attach a UEFI bootable device. System will automatically retry the UEFI Boot Order in 4 seconds. Press F10 to boot Intelligent Provisioning
Any HPE ProLiant ML30 Gen11 or HPE ProLiant DL20 Gen11.
As a workaround, warm reset the system by either of the following methods: Locally, press CTRL + ALT + DEL to reboot the system. OR Remotely, press Power > Reset in the iLO 6 web GUI.
