On HPE ProLiant Gen10 Plus and Gen11 servers configured with any of the controllers mentioned in the Scope section below and running Microsoft Windows Servers in the Scope section below, when Windows User Account Control (UAC) Aware is enabled, an administrative user cannot have access to run the MRSA application via the application shortcut on the user's desktop created by the installation. The MRSA application installation is expected to be successful with no warnings or errors. However, there is no access to MRSA executables due to the restrictions of UAC. This is because the Windows installer for MRSA version 8.4.16.0 (or earlier) is not UAC aware. A shortcut is created on the user's desktop, but there is no access to C:\Program Files\HPEMRSA\LSIStorageAuthority, and the following error is displayed: When navigating to the path, C:\Program Files\HPEMRSA\LSIStorageAuthority, the program files cannot be opened. This is because the Windows installer for MRSA version 8.4.16.0 (or earlier) does not have support for administrative user access with Microsoft Windows UAC enabled.

Resolution
This issue is resolved in HPE MegaRAID Storage Administrator (MRSA) version 8.6.18.0 (or later). Workaround Download : HPE MegaRAID Storage Administrator for Windows 64-bit v8.6.18.0 Launch the HPE MRSA application. Open a web browser and enter http://localhost:<Web server port> (i.e., http://localhost: 2463).
