When multiple HPE Synergy Gen11 compute modules in power OFF are removed /re-inserted, the HPE Integrated Lights-Out 6 (iLO 6) Management Component Transport Protocol (MCTP) state machine Auxiliary power discovery stops at the Initial state. If the HPE Synergy Gen11 compute modules are part of any profile created in HPE OneView, inventory details will not be populated on the profile. After the profile is applied, the HPE Synergy Gen11 compute module will power on to perform the staging process and then deployment depending on the component type. During the Deployment process this may occur. When this occurs, refreshing the profile will not resolve the "locked" event as shown below: OR In redfish response to the "redfish/v1/Systems/1/" query DeviceDiscovery will stop responding at "Initial".
Scope
Any HPE Synergy Gen11 compute module.
Resolution
As a workaround, perform the following: Reset iLO 6 to restart the MCTP state machine and to move Discovery to Complete state. Reapply the server profile. This advisory will be updated if additional solutions become available.
